Czech virtuoso Pavel Steidl is now recognized as one of today's most brilliant and truly original classical guitarists. Especially known for his interpretations of 19th century music by Mertz, Paganini and others, Steidl's effortless technique and fertile imagination bring out the full potential in this repertoire.

An increasingly busy touring schedule has taken Steidl to more than forty countries in recent years, including Canada, Cuba, Spain, Mexico, Australia, Japan and the United Kingdom. His many CDs, which include two on the Naxos label, have won the highest praise internationally.

This is a second concert by a guitarist who first performed for our society in 2009.
