This concert, the first of its kind ever held in Edmonton, is an exciting international collaboration featuring the Salzburg Guitar Quartet (SGQ), one of the leading quartets in Europe, and the Canadian Guitar Quartet (CGQ), Canada's top classical guitar ensemble. All on one stage!
In recent years the G8 have thrilled audiences in Canada and Europe with their flawless ensemble playing and joy in music making. Their concerts include music that ranges from Renaissance dances to the contemporary tango-based works of G8 member Patrick Roux. This first western Canadian tour will culminate in recording sessions for the G8's debut CD.
